With Fall finally rearing it's chilly head, it's time to start keeping it warm and stylish in one of 5 of my fave hats of the season.
Fall has finally come and I couldn't be happier! This cool-crisp air is perfect for layering, one of my favourite things to do. Knit sweaters under over-sized denim jackets, detailed socks under leather boots, blanket scarves galour and to finish the look, the perfect fall hat.
Not sure what is your perfect hat? Don't fret I have put together 5 of my go-to's below!
1. Brimmed hat
This style of hat in nothing new. I feel like this one goes away but always comes back. These hats are great for major bed head and because of their bigger style they look great with curly or straight hair. Not only are they stylish, they are warm and practical too. I love wearing mine with a fun coat and boots.
2. Beret
Another classic style that has made it's way back onto our ready-to-wear fashion shows and adorned by countless celebs, the beret. This hat is incredibly universal. due to it's structureless build you can wear it in almost any way! I like to think of the beret as the classy beanie. It's comfy and practical but can really add an element of sophistication to an otherwise basic outfit.
3. Newsboy hat
This hat is hands down my fav on this list. The newsboy hat I adore was passed down to me by my grandfather but you can find them in most retail stores or thrift stores if your'e a bargain hunter like me! This hat certainly makes a statement and a much-appreciated vintage touch. I love wearing mine with my hair straightened and a pair of oversized hoops.
4. Pom-Pom hat
Fall may seem too soon for a "pom" adorned hat, but let me tell you it is not! The reason I wear mine so often is because of its monochromatic look. To keep the outfit looking seasonal I always pair this winter-esque type hat with more late-summer, early-fall type of outfits: such as a T tucked into a pair of mom jeans and white runners, layered with a leather jacket.
5. Ball cap
Ball caps come in all sorts of fabrics and quirks. If you are a fan of the ball cap and prefer it over other styles of hat, but have trouble wearing it in the colder seasons, I have the trick for you. Find a ball cap that is made with a more textured material, think: knit, leather, or felt.
Those are my 5 fave types of fall hats, what are yours?
